About Sweet Hollow Resort Sweet Hollow was developed and created by Lester Finley, a local businessman. Lester was well known for the popular Finley’s Drive-In and Finley’s Roller Rink working with the youth from the 50's to the 21st Century.
In 1977 Lester turned his desires and challenged his expectations to the outskirts of town. Later to be known as “Sweet Hollow”, a 400-acre resort catering to the kids and the community throughout the surrounding areas. Sweet Hollow was built to become a Church Camp for All Kids to Enjoy... In hopes that the Future will bring that Dream to Come True.
Sweet Hollow caters to the local golfers with our nine-hole golf course and driving range. The golf course is challenging with over 12 water hazards taking in 125 acres of bermuda fairways, tee boxes, and bent grass greens. The course is an all seasons course open to the general public and catering to our special memberships. We offer tee times for special events & company scrambles.
“The Barn” at Sweet Hollow is private dining facility specializing in weddings and receptions. We offer a full line of catering, hor’dourves with sit-down or buffet style dinners. “The Barn” is a perfect setting for Receptions and Wedding Ceremony's, Anniversary Celebrations, Holiday Gatherings, Birthday Parties, Class Reunions, Company Functions, and many other occasions.
Sweet Hollow also offers an outdoor Pavilion, which is great for outdoor family reunions, class reunions, summer picnics, company functions, and many other occasions. The Pavilion is a Beautifiul Setting for Outdoor Weddings ad can accomadate 250 guest
Sweet Hollow Estates surrounds the resort and golf course offering fine living at it’s best .
Lester Finley had a dream of working with the public and community so happily contributing over 50 years of his life, providing recreational activities for kids and adults, in a family atmosphere. We will always cherish Lester’s contributions and enjoy the surroundings that he left to the community, which continues to be a family built and operated business.
